As Creator:
I am a creator, showrunner, and core cast member of Roleplay Retcon, a podcast that remakes infamous flop movies using roleplaying and storytelling games. Each movie is remade as a mini-series with a new guest, a new game, and a featured indie band on the soundtrack! The other core cast members are my talented friends Jensie and Alex.
We take turns “directing” remakes. My style is to use the original movie’s premise as a jumping-off point, then make the story my own. I also edit and sound design most episodes of the show.
As Editor:
In addition to editing and sound designing my own podcast, I’m a paid editor on some other projects! My rates are very reasonable!
I generally charge $25 an hour, but I can negotiate that price to work with your budget.
Generally, these are the turnaround times for episodes:
An editing pass for good quality audio, cleanup, and snappy timing: 2 hours
Editing for audio quality and some sound effects and music: 3 hours
Heavy sound design and editing: Five hours
Examples of my work:
Adventure Capitalists (A One Shot Network production). I edited and sound designed the Team Chicago episodes. Most of these episodes took around three hours to turn around.
Chuubo’s Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine (An Actal Play series on the One Shot Network’s Patreon). These episodes took me about three hours to turn around.
As Guest:
I’m so good at being a guest on other people’s podcasts and streams.
Game Master Monday: In Search of Dr. Seuss. The entire cast of Roleplay Retcon guested on this Dr. Seuss-themed Call of Cthulhu Actual Play.
What Am I Rolling: World Wide Wrestling: I played BOOKS, a wrestling heel that tormented her victims with the books they hated reading in school.
What Am I Rolling: A Land Once Magic: I played Viditya Voleti’s world-building game A Land Once Magic with him and some other folks. Mechs! Sleepless In Seattle! How could those two things possibly be related?
Game Master Monday: Serving up Disaster: In this Actual Play of a TTRPG based on Kitchen Nightmares, I played a clueless restauranteur alongside Cohen Edenfield’s celebrity chef character.
The DM’s Book Club: Perception Checks: In The DM’s Book Club, host Fiona and a guest read some TTRPG books or materials and discuss them. In this one we talked about how I don’t think Perception Checks are done well in most games and read some articles about it!
The DM’s Book Club: Silverplate (part 1, part 2): This time Fiona and I read the Silverplate DnD 5E setting, where people are food but also they eat food? It’s weird.
“Fun” and Games Podcast: Side Quests: Guests talk about a video game they love. I talked about Bomberman Hero for the N64.
